Welcome
It's been an eventful school year, teaching 7th-12th English at a charter school. At times I also taught journalism or 6th grade English. I can't believe the school year is nearly over. It will be so difficult to say goodbye to those teachers and students who won't be back next fall.

My reading list for this summer is quite long, though I'm not sure I'll really have time to tackle it, what with teacher training, helping with my husband's book business, and other neglected projects. I did just finish reading Anthem, by Ayn Rand. I plan to teach that next year, as well as other books by Rand. For those of you teachers who don't know, the Ayn Rand Institute offers free classroom sets of The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, and Anthem to schools that will teach them within the year. There are lesson plans, essay contests, and other resources as well.

Have family heirlooms to donate to the historical museum? Here's the mailing address: Camas County Historical Society, P.O. Box 571, Fairfield, ID 83327. Their Web site is under construction.
